The Good Lord LLC ("The Good Lord," "we," "us," or "our") operates thegoodlord.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. By using the Site or purchasing from us, you agree to the practices described here.

  • Order information — name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number, and the items you buy.
  • Payment information — card or payment-method details are collected and processed by our payment processors. We do not store full payment card numbers on our systems.
  • Account information — if you create an account, your login credentials and saved preferences.
  • Communications — messages you send us by email, contact form, or social media, and your marketing preferences if you subscribe to our list.

3. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA / UK Customers)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process personal information on these bases: performance of a contract (to fulfill your order); legitimate interests (fraud prevention, security, improving our products and Site, and direct marketing to existing customers); consent (marketing to new subscribers, and non-essential cookies); and legal obligation (tax, customs, and record-keeping).

All customers

You may ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and you may opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message or by contacting us. Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional messages about orders you have placed.

We will verify your identity before responding, typically by confirming information associated with your order or account. You may use an authorized agent where state law permits; we may require proof of the agent's authority. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and we will respond to the appeal within the timeframe your state's law requires.

EEA and UK rights

If you are in the EEA or the UK, you also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

8. Data Retention

We keep order and transaction records for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described here and to meet tax, accounting, and legal requirements — generally at least seven years for financial records. Marketing contact data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Account data is kept while your account is active.

9. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit and restricted access to customer data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
